MLM myths and misconceptions.

This page is here to address some of the most common myths and misconceptions about network marketing. You may have heard some of these before. There is a lot of information floating around the internet and I am here to let you know what is true and what is myth and hype.

Myth # 1 - Anyone can do this!

Although it is true anyone who is serious about building a successful business can succeed, everyone will have different strenghts and weaknesses. Someone in sales is going to have a bigger advantage over say a plumber.

Myth #2 - You can make $5000 your first month!

That is just downright hype. The only way you can create income that quickly is by moving an entire downline from one company to another. Most people who are just starting out will not do that great. It is possible to start out with a great first check, but that is usually a few hundred at best.

Myth #3 - We will build your downline for you!

This is also not true. The only one who will build your business for you is YOU. This myth is put out there to "sell" the laziness in people. Although having an automated system work with you is important, it can't do everything for you. You still need to be there to build your business.

Muyth #4 - Everyone is your prospect!

No, not everyone is your prospect. Not everyone wants to do what you are doing. This is why network marketing has such a bad reputation is sales people bugging everyone they see. This is known as "the 3 foot rule." It not only annoys the person your talking to but it is just bad business practice.

Myth #5 - This isn't selling!

Yes it is!! That is exactly what it is. Avery business exists to sell a product or service. If you are not out selling your product, you are selling your business opportunity.
